Kinumpirma ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na sinibak nya ang isa na namang opisyal ng pamahalaan
dahil sa umano’y sangkot sa corruption.

Sa kanyang talumpati sa okasyon ng Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) sinabi ng pangulo

 

“I just fired the undersecretary of DBM office of the budget. He was lucky because there were so many people.
I wanted to slap him. I even stood up to. I wanted to kick him in the face. I fired him for corruption.”

 

Ayon kay Duterte noong nakaraang linggo lang ay tatlong empleyado sa kanyang opisina ang tinanggal niya dahil sa influence-peddling.

 

Ayon pa kay Duterte ” this once was tinkering with the money, I told you to stop. S. T. O. P. “

 

Hindi man pinangalanan ng pangulo pero kinumpirma ni DBM Sec Benjamin Diokno na ang undersecretary ay si Gertrudo de Leon na appointee ng pangulo.

 

Si De Leon ay isang legislative liason officer na ang trabaho ay maki coordinate sa Presidential Legislative Liason Office of the National Budget

 

Nagtrabaho siya sa law office ni Exec Sec Salvador Medialdea at Senior Deputy Exexutive Sec Menardo Guevarra.
